FAQs
What is the difference between CELT and CELEA?
CELEA (Christian English Language Educators Association) is the organization that coordinates the CELT (Christians in English Language Teaching) Conference.
How early will I be able to view presenter videos before the conference begins?
Presenter videos will be available for viewing one week before the conference begins. Everyone who is registered for the conference will receive a link and password to the videos, which will be hosted on the CELEA website. We encourage you to watch as many presentations as you can before the conference so you will be prepared to take part in discussions during the live presentations.
How will I log on to the CELT conference?
You will receive an email with a link and a password to the HOPIN website on the evening of Wednesday, March 4. You will be able to enter the conference environment and connect with other registered participants.
What are the main places that I can visit in the HOPIN environment?
There are 5 main "places" you can navigate to in the HOPIN environment: the reception, the stage, the sessions, networking, and the expo. They are all listed on the left-hand side of the screen. When you enter the conference, you will be in the reception area. If you want to attend the welcome and the keynote speaker, you will need to click on the "STAGE" icon. Click here to view a view video that walks you through these 5 areas.
What is the structure of the 30-minute sessions?
Each 30-minute session will begin with the presenter streaming the 8-12 minute pre-recorded video he/she has created. The rest of the session will be time for the speaker to facilitate conversation and connection with the participants in the session. We highly encourage you to watch videos in the week before the conference in order to prepare yourself for great conversation.
